Founded in 2018, Awesome Dragon provides educational material for all ages. Topics focus on science, art, and history. Each book contains fact filled information and fun Did You Know? pages to engage students.

The owner, Katie C. Young, has published 3 titles under Awesome Dragon. She received a bachelor's degree in English Linguistics, and another in Anthropology, both at Boise State University. Additionally, she completed a masters degree in English at Arizona State University. ​​

Phyllis B. Goldman
1932 - 2024
Phyllis organized three publishing companies with the help of many people through her years. Her love of art, science, and history is shown in the over 100 books she has published. ​​​

Monkeyshines!
Monkeyshines on America began in 1987 and produced quarterly periodicals and resource materials for K-12 teachers throughout the United States and around the world. The Monkeyshines periodicals became favorites of teachers and students, and the periodical project took five years to complete.
In 2004, Monkeyshines on America was purchased by an international database company, which translated the books into a number of different languages and distributed their materials to libraries all over the world.

Allosaurus
In 2004, Goldman turned her unique vision into a new company and called it Allosaurus Publishers, which produced over 45 books on a huge range of topics, including several bilingual books in Spanish and English. Allosaurus Publishers kept its eye on the needs of K-12 teachers. From weird science facts, to joke books, to a time-traveling heroine who witnesses discoveries as they happen, Allosaurus Publishers became a unique hotspot for teachers and students alike!
During this period, “Phoebe Grant”—the publisher’s alter ego—portrayed an energetic time traveler throughout the “Phoebe Grant” series of stories, which appear as part of the Allosaurus books. Phoebe shares her enthusiasm and admiration for math, reading, and science! With her unique gifts, Phoebe is able to take friends on her time-travelling voyages, often arriving on the scene just as something exciting is taking place. She witnesses huge scientific breakthroughs as they occur! Readers love these adventures.

Awesome Dragon Publishing became Goldman’s third company in 2018.
Like the other companies, this one carries out themes related to topics of science, history, geography, and diverse cultures. All books appear not only in paperback, but also in e-book! Awesome Science is even available as an Awesome audio book!
